F1 in Schools – North Wales Regional Finals 2025
In February 2025, we held another successful F1 in Schools competition for pupils across North Wales at Denbigh High School and Leisure Centre.
Primary School Competition - 18th February 2025
Day one saw 21 enthusiastic teams from local primary schools taking part in a competition that tested the cars and presentation skills of the students.
The busy day culminated in awards being presented for lightning reaction times, fastest car, pit display, best engineered car, verbal presentation, portfolio award, future vision and judges’ choice.
The overall champions were BAS Racing from Ysgol Llewelyn, who also went on to second place in the UK finals, so big congratulations to them!

Secondary School Competition - 19th February 2025
Day two brought in 19 teams from secondary schools across the region. Again, we had teams across the entry, development and professional classes with a fine display of car designs and some excellent team spirit in evidence.
Recognition was awarded for lightning reaction times, fastest car, portfolio, pit display, verbal presentation, team identity, sponsorship and marketing, research and development, judges’ choice, best engineered car and future stars.
The champions for the entry class were Pink Venom (Ysgol Uwchradd Tywyn), development class winners were Rapidez (Ysgol David Hughes) and the professional class winners were Loop Racing (Coleg Meirion Dwyfor).

A very big thanks must go to Denbigh High School and Leisure Centre for agreeing to host the event yet again – absolute superstars!
Thanks to all the volunteer judges, some of whom had incredibly early starts and many hours of driving to be there.
Of course, big thanks to all the teachers and students who took part. Your enthusiasm makes the event the success it is.
